NP Dodge Company and Sleep in Heavenly Peace Aim to Build 200 Beds for Omaha-Area Children
After building 177 beds for local children last year, NP Dodge Company is going even bigger in 2026. NP Dodge, Sleep in Heavenly Peace's Omaha chapter, FNBO and Dodge Cares have again partnered to bring hundreds of volunteers together on Friday, September 18, with a goal of building 200 beds for children in need across the Omaha-Council Bluffs community.

The event is expected to be the largest bed-building event ever held in Nebraska and follows the success of NP Dodge's 170th anniversary celebration last year, when employees, agents and community partners surpassed their original goal of building 170 beds.
“Last year's build showed what can happen when people from across our company and community come together around a shared purpose,” said Greg Kraemer, chairperson of Dodge Cares, member of the leadership team for the Omaha chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace and a second-generation Realtor® with NP Dodge. “We built 177 beds, but more importantly, we helped give 177 children a safe and comfortable place to sleep. This year, we're challenging ourselves to make an even greater impact.”
The all-day volunteer event will once again take place in the parking lot of NP Dodge's sales office at 8601 W. Dodge Rd. Approximately 240 volunteers from across the NP Dodge family of companies will participate, representing NP Dodge Real Estate, NAI NP Dodge, NEI Global Relocation, Dodge Partners Insurance, NP Dodge Management Company and TitleCore National, NP Dodge volunteers will be joined by volunteers and supporters from FNBO, Dodge Cares and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
“A safe, comfortable place to sleep is an essential part of a stable home and a child’s well-being,” said Patty Gong, head of mortgage for FNBO. “Joining NP Dodge and Sleep in Heavenly Peace, we can make a tangible difference for local children and families, one bed and one good night’s sleep at a time.”
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering handmade, fully furnished beds to children who do not have beds of their own. The Omaha chapter works throughout the Omaha-Council Bluffs area to help ensure local children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
“Last year's response from our partners and community was incredible”, said Jenni Riffel, the co-president of NE-Omaha’s Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter. “Reaching for 200 beds this year gives us an opportunity to build on that momentum and help even more local families.”
Community Invited to Support the Bed Build
Community members can help ensure each bed is ready for a child by donating new bedding items during the September 18th event. Donations of new twin sheets, standard pillows, comforters, bedspreads and mattresses will be accepted throughout the day at the NP Dodge sales office, 8601 W Dodge Rd.
Every bed built through Sleep in Heavenly Peace is delivered fully furnished with a new mattress, twin sized bedding and pillow, making these donations an important part of providing children with a complete bed of their own.
The event is coordinated by Dodge Cares, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded by NP Dodge residential agents in 2002. Dodge Cares supports nonprofits that provide food, shelter and comfort to those in need across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
