Scott has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry focused on sales, leadership, and mergers and acquisitions. He has held positions with multiple brokerage firms across the East Coast including B. Gary Scott Realtors, Prudential Preferred Properties, Patterson Schwartz, Allen Tate Companies, and most recently Long & Foster® Real Estate, where he served as President of General Brokerage overseeing a portion of their real estate brokerage business.
In this role, Scott was responsible for approximately 130 offices and 6,000 agents in the Baltimore, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and central and southern Virginia regions. In addition to the daily operations of the business, Scott also has extensive experience in organic market growth and guiding teams to adopt and utilize new marketing and technology tools,

Scott is returning to Allen Tate Realtors®, where he previously served as General Sales Manager and as Senior Vice President from 1998 - 2010. Scott will assume the role of President, effective November 29, 2021, where he will oversee all residential operations for the company, which consists of more than 1,500 Realtors® and 300 staff members across their four-region footprint in the Carolinas.

Phyllis Brookshire, who held the position, will now lead operations for the residential company.”
Brookshire has been with Allen Tate Realtors® for more than 14 years and will assume the role of Senior Vice President of Residential Operations.

Scott also brings experience working with affiliated businesses including mortgage, insurance, title, relocation, and business and home services. Scott received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bucknell University, where he currently serves on their Real Estate Advisory Board. He is also a current board member of Sports Biz Cares, and has previously been affiliated with Junior Achievement, Providence Day School, The Fletcher School, and the MS Society. Scott is looking forward to returning to Charlotte and becoming active in the community after being away for 12 years.
